Why Safety Isn’t Just a Requirement — It’s a Responsibility
When most people hear the word safety, they think of rules, checklists, or compliance paperwork. But safety is so much more than that. It’s the difference between a workplace that thrives and one that struggles. It’s the difference between a family that feels prepared and one that feels overwhelmed. And it’s the difference between reacting to problems and preventing them altogether.
After years working in manufacturing, logistics, and the medical field, I’ve seen firsthand how safety can transform people, teams, and entire organizations. I’ve also seen what happens when safety is treated as an afterthought — and the consequences are always heavier than the effort it would have taken to prevent them.
That’s why I created Safety Savvy Co. Not to add more rules to the world, but to make safety practical, human, and accessible for everyone.
My Journey to Safety Leadership
My path into safety wasn’t traditional. I earned my GED at 32, worked my way up from frontline roles to regional leadership, and eventually stepped into the world of environmental health and safety. Today, I’m a Regional Safety Manager and a doctoral candidate in Environmental Health & Safety Management — but more importantly, I’m someone who understands what it feels like to be on both sides of the safety conversation.
I’ve been the person doing the work. I’ve been the person writing the policies. And now, I’m the person helping bridge the gap between the two.
Safety isn’t about perfection. It’s about people. It’s about giving them the tools, training, and confidence to make good decisions — at work and at home.

That’s the mission behind Safety Savvy Co. And I’m excited to build it with you.
